The region comprising India’s north eastern and eastern states, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Myanmar is one naturally contiguous geographically compact region. Treating the region as one geographical and economic entity while respecting political boundaries, and national, ethnic, religious and cultural identities without exaggerating them, is one of the keys to ensuring overall prosperity of the region.
